I live in the Washington DC area and have worked as a lead artist at Bethesda Game Studios since 2011.
This website shows artwork from over the last 20 years, however most of my work has not been so visual. What I love about making games is finding ideas that make the player experience better. This has led me to a lot of different roles. I’ve written scripts and pipeline tools to help artists get their work into the engine faster. I’ve designed social systems for online games. I’ve prototyped gameplay for product pitches.
But, what I’ve worked on the most has been collaborative problem solving. I’ve been lucky to work with amazing people on great projects, and finding ways to make the games better while utilizing all of our skill sets and ideas is what takes the most time and what makes the biggest difference. Game development is complex, and it’s hard to keep a big team working at it’s highest potential year after year. Solving these problems and making worlds come alive with gameplay is what makes game development so wonderfully rewarding.
